WHO WE ARE...

Teen Challenge is a faith-based drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility, which believes in a total cure for the whole man. In 1958, David Wilkerson went to New York City and minister to the "street kids" who were involved in gangs, street warfare, and crimes of every sort. At that time Reverend Wilkerson was not aware of the fact that along with the incredible rate of crime, there existed an even more menacing problem... DRUG ABUSE!  In an effort to reach the unreachable, David Wilkerson opened a home in Brooklyn, NY where these addicts and gang members could receive help. 

That was just the beginning...

WHERE WE ARE...

Today, Teen Challenge has grown to be the largest non-profit, private endeavor of it's kind in the world. Teen Challenge has centers for both adults and juveniles, male and female. Presently Teen Challenge has 220 centers in the United States and Puerto Rico, and almost 800 worldwide!

Rochester Teen Challenge has a long history of helping men find a new life in Christ. In order to expand our impact and reach more men, we have merged with TC Buffalo and become Teen Challenge of Western New York.

This partnership will enable us to:
(1) Operate a referral center in Rochester to help transition men into the program more efficiently; (2) Broaden our donor and volunteer support base which will provide vital funding in these trying economic days; (3) Grow the overall induction center program; (4) Unit Rochester and Buffalo around a common goal for the sake of the Gospel.
